I love doing photography and recording, but I have discovered the truth of what you say. Sometimes I miss the whole moment, simply because I am trying to capture it rather than live it.

I've found that a good balance can be found in keeping a journal. I don't have to miss any of the moment, and I simply write about it later.

I've found that writing about it later helps me relive the moment, and provides an opportunity to milk even more out of the experience than I had at the time. I gain insight about the incident simply by thinking and writing about it.

Even knowing that I'm going to write about it while I'm living in the moment helps me try to make the moment the greatest experience possible for everyone involved.

Thanks for the great podcasts. I enjoy them!
