You’re Stupid

This is Macy.  She’s 16 months old.

She’s much smarter than you.

And please don’t misunderstand me, that’s not a brag, it’s not an “oh, my kid is so smart for her age” thing.  I could have put a picture of any average 16-month old.

It’s also not a relative thing.

She’s smarter than you.  Straight up.

Here’s why:

1. She has no fear.  And so far, her lack of fear has lead to a few tears here and there, but mostly to discovery and enjoyment in her life. You have a lot of fear, and it’s holding you back.
2. If she wants to figure something out, she just tries to figure it out.  She doesn’t wait for someone to tell her it’s okay, or to hold her hand (except when we’re in public places and we MAKE her hold our hand.)  You want people to hold your hand and walk you through everything.
3. If she needs help, she yells “pleeeeease” at the top of her lungs.  She doesn’t worry about looking foolish by asking for help.  You want to pretend you know everything, even when doing so makes you look ridiculous.

If you could do the things Macy does, you’d be smarter.

Oh, and you should also get a pink kazoo.
